Sudanese women have been using Karkar for hundreds of years. Recipes are passed down from one generation to the next  This recipe was passed down to me from my mother who learned it from her mother and so on. I chose to keep the main ingredients that make Karkar what it is and add a few new ones to make it the perfect butter consistency for you. My family has been using Karkar for years and I look forward to bringing it to yours.
